Marine Cabinet Maker

Full-time position
Reports to: Lead Shipwright

This role is responsible for interior repairs and fit out as part of our boat building team. Working closely with all areas of the business you will construct, fit-out, commission and repair all types of vessels, including, recreational, competitive, and commercial. The selected candidate will work on a range of exciting and innovative projects both on and off-site. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Complete fit out on a range of vessels, including recreational and commercial vessels.

  • Constructing cabinetry and ceiling panels.

  • Applying veneers and repairing wooden surfaces.

  • Construction of teak and cork decks.

  • Installation of flooring.

  • Installation and commissioning of finished products.

  • Operating woodworking machines and using a range of hand tools.

  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Minimum four (4) years experience within an applicable industry

  • Shipwright or equivalent qualification

  • Experience in furniture/ cabinet making.

  • Experience with solid wood, veneers, and plywood substrates.

  • Valid WA Drivers Licence

  • Forklift ticket

  • Shipwright experience


Shipwrights / Fibreglass Laminator

Full-time position
Reports to: Lead Shipwright

This role is responsible for fibreglass repairs, builds and rebuilds, as part of our boat building team. Working closely with all areas of the business you will construct, fit out, commission and repair all types of vessels, including, recreational, competitive, and commercial. The selected candidate will work on a range of exciting and innovative projects both on and off-site.   

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Complete a range of GRP repairs, builds and repairs

  • Structural laminating.

  • Chop strand gun operation

  • Composite fabrication. Including infusion, injection moulding, moulding/ tooling and prepreg composite processes.

  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Minimum four (4) years experience with an applicable industry

  • Shipwright or equivalent qualification

  • Extensive knowledge of GRP builds and repairs

  • Structural laminating experience

  • Valid WA Drivers Licence

Desired

  • Chopper gun and gel coat experience

  • Forklift ticket
